LEARN SPANISH (adjectives)

Adjectives take a feminine or masculine form, depending if they are describing a man or a women. Usually, when describing a woman, the adjectives will end in an "a" and when describing a man, the adjective will end in an "o". There are, however, adjectives that don't change : they are the same for man and woman like fiel (loyal).

As a general rule we can say that every time an adjective ends in "a" . "o" or "r". they will have a feminine and masculine form, for example : generoso/ generosa (generous). The adjectives that end in "r" are usually the masculine form of that adjective, to convert it into a feminine adjective we need to add an "a" for example ": trabajador/ trabajadora (hardworking).

When the adjective ends with "e" or any other consonant it does not change. The adjective will bu the same for describing a woman or a man. For example : valente (brave) , prudente (cautious)), tradicional (traditional).
